Learning how to speak spanish is a long term endeavour for many people !! It’s such a beautiful language and one that ALL Americans should at least learn a little about. Parents should start with their children and the younger the easier it will be to learn easy spanish !!
Looking back at our last Lesson or so, we saw how to conjugate regular verbs. These were verbs with certain proper rules. And Iam sure will have to concur that the Lessons were pretty straightforward ! In todays lesson we will be looking at a little different and more complicated set of verbs. They are called irregular verbs and are essential to in learning how to speak spanish in a proper way !!
Basically, the key to learning these verbs is to have a close study on how the verb stems change. Its a fact that irregular verbs are quite more difficult to conjugate. The best way to really learn them is to really ingrain them in your mind over and over again.
Decir = diciendo / saying
Ir = yendo / going
Pedir = pidiendo / asking
Venir = viniendo / coming
Dormir = durmiendo / sleeping
And lets look at a couple of more examples to make this perfectly clear to you !!
El esta viniendo a la casa ,means, He is coming to the house
Estamos yendo a los Estados Unidos ,means, We are going to the USA
