Wherever you go in this Country of ours its almost impossible NOT to run into a person or two who speaks spanish !! I know for 2 years I lived way out in the country in a hole in the wall town named Gallatin. It was deep in the South and had a long history of so called southern pride. Well, even here I ran into dozens and dozens of youn people who were spanish speaking individuals. I even made the acquaintences of a few of them and learned how to speak spanish to a small degree. Just things like ‘Hola’ or ‘Buenos Noches’ .

But let me tell you this is really a great way to get your feet wet when trying to learn to speak spanish. And especially if that native spanish speaker knows how to translate into English.

So I encourage each of you in the next month to stop when you run by someone speaking spanish. And introduce yourself. Its easy,’ Hola, amigo. Me llama Mike ‘!!
