Okay me and the Wifey moved out to California here a year and half ago from Tennessee. She got a job relocation and the first 6 months we lived in downtown LA.
Talk about a huge culture change. We experienced a lot and got to know a lot of different types of people.
My gosh when you walk in downtown LA its almost a necessity to learn to speak spanish !! And the best way to learn easy spanish is to get right in the thick of things and start mingling with the environment around you. As they say when in Rome do as the Romans do. Well, in downtown LA the language predominantly spoken is Spanish. So I tried to make a point in listening and watching many of the pedestrians on the street as they interacted with each other in the form of Spanish.

You would be surprised how much easier it is in learning to speak spanish when you do this.

So the next time any of you are in the midst of others who are from a different culture take a little time to mingle with them and you will find it easier to learn to speak spanish !
